Cooperation
The School's research programme focuses on
the planning, design, production, construction, monitoring, inspection
and management of structures ranging from domestic and utility buildings
to all kinds of civil engineering projects. In addition to promoting
inter-university research in disciplines such as materials science,
structural design, structural mechanics, building physics, computer
science and business administration in the technical sector, a primary
aim of the programme is to achieve an integrated approach to design and
research issues and technology development.

School has cooperative links with research institutes
in the Netherlands and abroad. Dutch partners include
TNO Building and Subsoil Engineering and Delft Geotechnics.
The English-language quarterly
HERON is a joint publication by the
Research School Integral Design of Structures
and TNO Building and Subsoil
Engineering. Effective networks are in place with university
research groups and institutes in other countries. |
